The steps for a first-install:

• reset administrator's password in Active Directory (possibly to the same value). This is is necessary for proper Kerberos operation.
• decompress the tarball : tar xvzf sadms-<version>.tar.gz
• enter the bin directory : cd sadms-install-<version>/bin
• run ./START
• you the may be asked to insert the distribution's CD to install the necessary library (tkinter, kerberos workstation)
• the GUI starts ...
• enter the data and Validate from the Data menu
• run Install from the SADMS menu

For later uses, you can directly run sadms

The steps for remote use of SADMS:

• create a public-private key pair (you may have to restart your X-session if you didn't have keys)
• launch the SSH agent
• export the public key to the target remote host
• test a SSH session (which now must be automated, no passwords required)
• clone SADMS to remote host (this is done through SecureFTP and is automated)
• tick the run remotely box
